No Laces Necessary

Wut up, I'm back! Sorry for being gone for so long. But I'm back with a new and fresh pair of kicks. These new Nike Blazer AC Highs are the cleanest kicks I have seen since.... I can't remember. But i really dig the straps which is really trendy right now. The shiny leather is definitely an attention grabber and the overall look deviates from the classic Blazer and brings in a new look. Check back soon for a new find. Get them at Sneakerhead.com. Good look

Dwayne Wade Air Jordan 2010 - An Instant Classic

I was waiting for the day that D Wade made the switch from Converse to Brand Jordan. It is about time. Throughout the years, Wade proved that he is a star among stars, even having a taste of the gold trophy. It is pretty obvious why he made the switch, $. Plus he knew that the 23 brand have great looking, yet functional kicks. Air Jordan 2010, which is set to debut at All-Star weekend, these will be flying off the shelves. It starts with a very sleek and slim design, which automatically improves speed, and the mid-top still provides good protection for the ankles. They have an overall modern yet sporty appeal.

Nice Touch on a Classic

It has been a minute, but I'm back with a new fresh kick. There is nothing better than a nice clean pair of kicks. But these Nike Blazer joints I found add a nice touch to a clean classic. I personally own a pair of Blazers and I love them. The only thing is that you have to widen the laces quite a bit to get into them because of the narrow design of the kicks. Besides that, they are great for causal wear as well as date night. Back to these Blazers, the nice graphics that are incorporated into the heel really adds a nice element to these kicks. Peace for now.

Talkin' SHMACK

I'm back! I have been a bit busy doing some design work and I finally got a chance to showcase a new shoe. These below are called "Remmington Chukka" from SHMACK. When I first saw these, they caught my eye right away. I usually don't like kicks with patterns on them but these are really fresh. The nice upper pattern with the cleanness of the white sole creates a perfect combination. Sweet!

Hybrid Kicks of the Day (Timberland MBRS CKKA)

Boots are usually heavy as bricks and lack style. These smooth Tim's combines the look of boots with the street style of sneaks. Nice.

Getting Creative

Ever since I saw the first pair of Creative Recreation sneaks, I knew I would feature them more than once. Here I am again to show you guys another fresh design from CR. I just love how they incorporate the strap in a stylish way without it looking like an old man's shoes. This pair is called "Dicoco". Great pattern design with the shiny leather kind of reminds me of the MJ 11's. These are definitely fresh. Props to Sneakerhead.com. Got some designing to do. Peace for now.

Ballin' on a Budget II

A while back, I made a post called Ballin' on a Budget, the best kicks under $20. Since then, people have been asking me to post more sneaks like that because, as we all know, most nice kicks don't come cheap. I am going to make this a weekly thing if I can find some. This is not just about finding any shoes under $20, but they have to be nice too.

This week I'm featuring a pair of Pony "City Wings". When we talk about b-ball sneaks, we usually don't think of Pony, even though they were the premiere kicks back in the old school days. These are a pair of sleek b-ball shoes that come in a wide variety of color-ways to match your team colors. Only $20 at Eastbay, my favorite sneak shop.

Enjoy!

Gotta Have it Sneaks of the Day

I hate to over-saturate this blog with MJ's all day, but I have to pay tribute to these classic Air Jordan 1 Hall of Fame Edition. These special kicks actually comes in a set of 3 different sneakers, but I chose this one because they look the best and it truly pays tribute to the classic Air Jordan 1's with some great designs to spice it up. Great casual sneaks or if you really want to impress suckas, sport them next time you play some pick-up ball. (Not recommended) These kicks will be a great collector's item for years to come.

Reppin' Reeboks

Just when I thought Reeboks were on their way down, they surprise me again. You can say that Reebok has always been Nike's little brother in terms of sneaker design and sales. It seems as if Reebok is always trying to catch up with Nike with new kick designs. Nike has dominated the market for some time now, and I want to take this time to give Reebok some props and get you guys wearing them again. Check these out below. they are called "EX O FIT BASQUIAT". They are designed by graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. These kicks have a throwback look with a street, graffiti style designs. I usually don't like busy designs on shoes, but this pair just works.

Eastbay Pick of the Day

There is no explanation here except these are a pair of styled up classic MJ 12's. Sported by Melo a couple years back, these kicks have always been a favorite of many ShoeNuts. The black on university blue combo creates a sleek look. You can even play with these outdoors and it won't get that dirty because it is mainly black. Lace these on and it might improve your fade away jumpers.

Catch These if You Can

The days of low top, ugly-ass Puma kicks are no more. The old school Pumas were never my taste. Their sneaks were always too skinny and flat with minimum style. After doing some research, I found a pair of Puma's that actually look nice. These kicks are called "Roader Hi Prep School" and feature a high top canvas structure with a checkered design which would look clean with your Argyle sweater.

MJ x 2 - Legends Collide

I came into this post with an intention of showcasing my favorite Jordan's of the day, but when I saw these, I just had to pay some tribute to the other MJ, Michael Jackson. As soon as I saw these, I fell in love with them. These are a pair of MJ 1's fused with a little King of Pop Flavor. These unique kicks features an image of the two MJ's playing ball in the Jam video. The overall design of the shoe is nicely done and overpowered by useless patterns and images. Mad props to whoever came up with this design.

Classic Meets Luxury, a Great Combination

What do you get when you mix street and luxury? In terms of sneakers, you get the Nike Air Force 1 LUX '07 Masterpiece Crocodile Edition. Only this shoe deserves such a long name and a price tag of $1000. These AF1 Crocs combines the street style of the classic Air Force One sneakers with the elegant and sophisticated touch of crocodile leather design. These limited edition sneaks features an authentic crocodile leather upper, 18k gold plated accents, and it is made in Italy so you know it is good quality and not some kid in his garage using watercolor paint to customize his kicks. I have to admit, when I first saw it, I wasn't diggin' it that much, but the more I look at it, the more I love it. If you want a pair, you better have a hefty bank account because I have seen these kicks sell for $1000 and up. Start saving shoenuts! I found several website that sell these, but Fightclubla.com has the cheapest at $875. Be careful of fake ass rip offs that sell for one or two hundred dollars, they look cheap and fake.

So Fresh n' So Clean

As a ShoeNut, I'm always on the lookout for new shoe companies that are not in the mainstream and showcasing their designs. After some late night browsing (for shoes of course), I found a company called CREATIVE RECREATION based in Los Angeles. It is not often that I like every sneaker that a company puts out, but this one comes close. Their use of colors, patterns, and Velcro straps takes sneakers to the next level. From high top to low top, there is something interesting about every single one of their sneakers. I decided to feature one that is my favorite among all the other favorites called "Cesario". My eyes lit up as I saw this pair. These high tops feature a toe strap that is not often seen, but done well here along with a intricate design pattern on the side. This is truly a work of art. I found these at Sneakerhead.com. This website sells some pretty nice and original as well as retro b-ball kicks. Props to Sneakerhead.com.

London's Track Star - Walsh Bolton

Every once in a while, I get companies asking me to review and showcase their sneakers. I would not do it most of the time because I did not like their designs. I did not want to do it just to do it. Plus, I do not get paid for it so I only want to feature shoes that I like and I think you guys might like. I came across a London based company that offers nice running sneakers. The company is called "WALSH BOLTON LONDON". The structure of their sneaks reminds me of Saucony's, which are really comfortable. One thing that really drew me to their style is their variety of color combos. Most of the color choices works well with the style of the shoes and it is not ridiculously weird. If you enjoy a jog or run from time to time, check these out.

Shiekh.com Pick of the Day

As I have mentioned before, I sometimes browse mall store websites (Footlocker, Finish Line...) for shoes that are easier to find, yet still original and fresh. One store I often visit is Shiekh. (looks like Shrek) From the time they opened several years ago, I have noticed that they carry shoes that are not in other stores such as Footlocker. Today, I checked out their website to find several pairs of nice sneaks that are worth mentioning. But when I had to choose, I went with these below. These are called Vlado "Aristocrat". Besides the crazy, but not stupid color combination, I think these kicks are very unique in the design. The double strap works well with the high top design. The Fat top strap gives it a sleek and aggressive look. This may be an acquired taste!

Ballin on a Budget - Best Bball kicks under $20

Ever since I can remember, the best b-ball kicks are usually in the $100 and up club. I did not grow up rich so I only got MJ's every couple of years for a special present. With the economy in the state that it is, you don't have to buy super expensive kicks to ball in. I have searched the net for the best looking shoe under $20 and here is my pick. This pair below is the Adidas NBA Bounce Artillery II. These kicks has the style and the "Bounce technology" to match. I found these from Eastbay.com, which is one of the websites I visit most for good sneaks at a great price. I was just looking around and expecting to find a pair of flip flop sandals for $20, but I found these Adidas that caught my eye, and they're only $20. Game on!

Skate with Swag

Believe it or not, I used to skateboard for a couple of years back in the day. I have always liked skate shoes because they were always so comfortable. I quit skating after spraining both my ankles multiple times. From then on, I stuck with what I did best, which was breaking people's ankles on the b-ball court. I still enjoy a pair of nice skate shoes from time to time and I found a pair of fresh ones I know you guys will like. These are called "DOUBLE LIFE PROJECT X SIXPACK" by DC, probably the best skate shoe maker out there today. I love the street look to these and the great design that goes along with it. I wouldn't recommend skating in these because they are so nice, but if you do, the mid top design will allow for ankle support which is what you need most out of skate shoes. So Nice!
